Synopsis
Named after, but so unlike the infamous former Philippine First Lady, Imelda is not fond of shoes. To her, they are fraught with the bittersweet nostalgia of childhood, yet they hold acute but precious memories because all of hers were handmade by her father Romeo, with whom she has had a difficult relationship. On the fateful day she is called to the morgue and begins a search for the perfect pair of shoes for her father's funeral, a painful truth unfolds, forcing her to change her point of view. A restrained, touching and elegant look at family ties and the passage of time.
