Synopsis
In 1982 a small group of Taiwanese filmmakers discovered their own identity and reinvented Asian cinema. Directors such as HOU Hsiao-Hsien, Edward YANG and others are internationally famed. Travelling from Europe to Latin America to Asia, this documentary sets out to assess the global influence of Taiwan New Cinema.
