Born in Nagasaki. Director of educational films. His representative works include "Nobara", "Kaguya-hime", "The Tale of Peter Rabbit". Received many prestigious awards. Appointed as the youngest film producer at Expo '70 Osaka.

This animation was part of “Life in the 21st Century” shown at the Japan Pavilion at Expo ’70. Also known as “Mrs. 21st Century” the film shows the 21st century that people dreamed of at the time, with tube-like transportation networks and automatic translation videophones.
