Synopsis

At 70 years old, Alejandra decides to separate from her philandering husband of five decades. However, the decision meets resistance when their middle-aged children refuse to give the blessing over their separation. But when the old lady's youngest and dearest daughter contracts a heart attack, the entire family is forced to gather in a hospital where, together, they must face the separation.

Paki in Filipino means both “please” and “care”. It alludes to the idea that love is something that is constant but also a choice. When they look at Alejandra, all they see is a miserable old woman who is complaining when she should put the happiness of the family ahead of her own. They love her but not right now because they don’t see her decades of heartache. Will the family choose to show the eternal love to Alejandra when she needs it most?
