Hiroko is an “office lady” quite content with her solitary life. With her stubborn aversion to people, the only thing she can love is her "Torso", a limbless inflatable male doll. One day, her half-sister Mina, fed up with her boyfriend's violence and infidelity, comes knocking on her door. Cinematographer YAMAZAKI Yutaka captures an element of female mentality with sensitive images in his directorial debut feature, featuring a woman obsessed with a male torso, and her sister who lives a freewheeling life.

Suffering from heartbreak and asthma, 23-year-old Toshiyuki pushes the limits of his body to chase the ghost of Tatsuya, his recently deceased boyfriend, against the black-blue backdrop of Tokyo’s cityscape. Toshiyuki meets Tatsuya's mother Chieko, who is visiting Tokyo from Hiroshima for the anniversary of her son's death. Will the two find some connection with each other and be able to mourn? YANAGIJIMA Katsumi, known for KITANO films, is the cinematographer.

Director MISAWA Takuya displays a light touch and a love of cinema in this whimsical film in which students and teachers come together during a weekend for a wedding at a hotel. The film flutters back and forth between the various characters and their feelings until the wedding starts. Weaving between narrative lines, the film portrays repressed and occasionally open irritations and infatuations, old and new, flaring up between the various characters. SUGINO Kiki serves as the executive producer.

She begins to discover the woman's real name and the reason why she had to be someone else.

Is the human mind identical with the actual human? This sci-fi drama, based on an experimental short film by the director, depicts love and skepticism through the relationships between researchers who visualize human minds.
Screened at OAFF 2017 under the title of “Visualized Hearts”, and later released as “Mechanical Telepathy”.

The second feature by OE Takamasa, who won the Best Screenplay Award at Cannes with “Drive My Car”, co-written by HAMAGUCHI Ryusuke. University student Yuji lives alone with his mother. He begins to keep a journal. One day, he finds his mother’s diary, in which she details her imaginary life with Yuji’s unborn little brother. “Nice to Meet You” looks into the verity of a real life hidden under a lie, by depicting an alienated mother and son trying to communicate through a fictional diary.

It is 1995 in downtown Kobe. 3-year-old Reiko dies at the Great Hanshin Earthquake, when her mother Ichiko is at a hotel having an affair. Tasuke divorces Ichiko, but he isn’t quite over his ex-wife. One day he steps in to protect a boy from his abusive father and accidentally kills him. 23 years after Reiko's death, Ichiko and Tasuke go to the aquarium to see the dolphin show, fondly remembering the last day they spent with their daughter….

Deep in the mountains of north Okayama Prefecture, a young farmer tries to make a new life for himself while dealing with the weight of family obligations. He wanted to make music in Tokyo but has returned to the small family farm that has been passed down for generations. The first feature-length film by writer/director YAMASAKI Juichiro, a farmer himself, reveals the tangled life of a young dairy farmer and his hopes for the future from the point of view of those who make their living from the earth.

Mitsuo, who just came out of the hospital after three years, experiences brief happiness with his brother Yuta and his niece Chie. The next day, Mitsuo takes Chie and his other niece Itsuki to an amusement park. However, Chie kills Itsuki by dropping her on the ground while Mitsuo takes his eyes off them. When Chie is asked by her mother what has happened, Chie lies, saying Mitsuo dropped Itsuki. Mitsuo becomes isolated from society and devotes himself solely to prayers for Itsuki by sowing sunflower seeds.
