Makoto and Shinji have been living together for two years. While Shinji thinks the two should marry, Makoto is too busy with work and believes marriage is pointless as it changes nothing. Yet Makoto soon realizes she is pregnant. In this masterpiece, Osaka-born director Keihiro Kanyama and his staff have united to portray the realities facing today's generation of live-for-the-moment young adults-----a generation to which they themselves belong----based on the themes of love and loss.
