PHAN Gia Nhat Linh

Vietnam|Director

Since graduating from the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts, PHAN Gia Nhat Linh has worked across the film industry in Vietnam as an independent filmmaker. He is known for directing the shorts “Within the Space of the Soap Bubbles” (2007) and “Dog Day” (2010), the features "SWEET 20" (OAFF 2015, OAFF 2016) and “The Girl From Yesterday” (2017, to be screened in the special program < New Action! Southeast Asia > at OAFF 2018). He co-found the Yxine Film Fest in 2010, Vietnam’s first online short film festival.

KIM Jungeun

Korea|Director

KIM Jungeun was born in Incheon in 1992 and studied directing at Yong In University’s Film Department. She has worked as an assistant director for “Proj. Get-up- and-go” (2015) and “Horror Stories III” (2016). She has directed many shorts including, “Home on Weekend” (2012), “The Night of Grace” (2013), and “In This Town” (2015), which was screened at the Jeonju International Film Festival in 2015. "Night Working” (2017) will be screened in the Indie Forum section at OAFF 2018.

LIM Kah Wai (林家威)

Malaysia|Director

LIM Kah-wai is a graduate of Osaka University, where he majored in Electrical Engineering, and the Beijing Film Academy. His directorial debut came with “After All These Years” (2010). This was followed with “Magic and Loss” (2011), “New World” (2011) and “Fly Me to Minami” (2013), all of which were screened at OAFF.
His newest work, “No Where, Now Here” (2018), had its world premiere as part of the Special Screenings section.

Unfortunately, due to various issues, the President of the International Competition Jury, SOK Visal, is unable to attend OAFF 2018.
Director LIM Kah-wai, who is attending the festival with his latest film, “No Where, Now Here” in the Special Screenings section, has stepped forward to become a jury member.
