Synopsis
A Japanese Imperial Army soldier who cannot bring himself to believe Japan's defeat in the Second World War even after listening to the broadcast of the voice of the Emperor Hirohito hides himself in the mountain area of the Philippines. The film, which depicts the encounter and subtle love between the soldier and a local woman, is the latest controversial work from the booming Philippine movie scene to hit the screens. Mainly featuring dialogue in Japanese, the film stars Jacky Woo, a Japanese actor and musician based in the Philippines and active in many Asian countries. The heroine is played by the international star Mercedes Cabral from "Thirst", directed by Park Chan-wook. This is the world premiere of the latest work of Adolfo Alix Jr., a promising director whose movies keep on garnering awards at film festivals all over the world.
