Synopsis

28-year-old Hanayama, who has recently lost his job, visits a small 3D glass company named Nakata Cyber. After a cursory interview, he is hired and takes charge of a project proposal for a bank. If the bank doesn’t decide to invest in his project next week, the company will go bankrupt. Hanayama goes to the company’s building near Lake Kasumigaura, and meets people searching for a phantom lotus root named Giant Lotus Root. Can miserable Hanayama find hope anywhere? “Bright Night” is a tale of a drifting young man finding hope by Lake Kasumigaura.
