Synopsis

Nerdy Wenxi and smooth-talker BS are two film-fanatic friends who are dying to make a movie and win an Oscar but they run up massive debts in the attempt. Trying to dig themselves out of a hole, they join a local gang. This may seem like a brain-dead way to make cash but their boss, Brother Long, takes notice of their film skills and commissions Wenxi to film a zombie movie! Naturally, BS will be the producer. But there is one condition: Shanny, Brother Long’s favourite girl, needs to be the leading lady. Cue clashes over creative differences and an unexpected death which leads to a series of increasingly dangerous and out-of-control events as Wenxi and BS struggle just to stay alive and ahead of the gangs in order to nab an Oscar. A script that makes use of a melange of influences and clashing tones, done with full commitment to every aspect, makes this an entertaining and surprising ride full of twists and turns.
