- Synopsis
An apartment stands quietly in the town of Hakodate. The owner, Tokiko Hagiwara, rents it out as a work-turned-residence to support talented young artists. The tenants are Kazuko Horiike, an aspiring glass ornament maker, teddy bear maker Kotaro Aizawa, and a photographer who specializes in using pinhole cameras named Sawa Fujimura. Each lives cherishing something vital to their existence. One day, a furniture maker by the name of Yabushita is scheduled to move in, but Yabushita’s junior classman Eiji Hiyama shows up instead. In a renovated storage room, Hiyama plans to open a used bookstore. Hiyama keeps to himself and busies himself with work, but the inviting smell of coffee lures him to meet the other residents.
