A collection of 11 silent shorts produced by nine students and three alumni of the Tokyo University of the Arts' Film Department, ranging from a period drama based on the screenplay for YAMANAKA Sadao's first film, "Iso no Genta: Dakine no Nagawakizashi," which became a legend in the history of silent film, to a comedy, thriller, and animation. KATAOKA Ichiro, a benshi (benshi is a Japanese wordplay narrator), provides the live narration for all the shorts. Here is a new silent movie for our time.
