Isao YUKISADA

Isao YUKISADA

Born 1968 in Kumamoto, Japan. In 1997, he debuted as the feature film director with "OPEN HOUSE". His second directorial film "Sunflower" (2000) got FIPRESCI Prize at the 5th Pusan International Film Festival. His 4th feature "Torch Song"(00) was screened in competition section at the TOKYO FILMeX 2000. He received many film awards including Director of the Year for Japan Academy Prize with "GO" (01). Other feature films include "Rock'n'Roll Mishin" (02), "A Day on the Planet" (03), "Crying out Love, in the Center of the World" (04), and "Spring Snow" (05). In 2006, he established a production label, Second Site. His latest films, "A Good Husband" and "Parade" (Got FIPESCI Prize at 60^th Berlinale) were released in 2010.


KIM Dae-woo

KIM Dae-woo

Born in 1962. Kim has started his career as a screenplay writer, and became a winner of the 1991 KOFIC Script Contest. He wrote for a number of hit movies including "An Affair" (1998, directed by Lee Jae-yong), "The Foul King" (1999, directed by Kim Ji-woon), and "Untold Scandal" (2003, directed by Lee Jae-yong), Kim has focused on the themes of courage and happiness, while looking into the social taboos of lewdness, scandals, and foul play. He made a directorial debut with "Forbidden Quest" in 2006.


Milkman SAITO

Milkman SAITO

Born 1963 in Kyoto. A film critic. He is a leading critic who reevaluate so-called Japanese Modernist filmmakers who were active in 1950s and 60s, such as Kon Ichikawa, Ko Nakahira, Yasuzo Masumura, Tadashi Sawashima and Seijun Suzuki. He was a member of jury for the Asia Film Award of the 2003 Tokyo International Film Festival.
