- Synopsis
- WEI Te-Sheng, renowned Taiwanese director of Golden Horse Award-winning "Cape No. 7" and OAFF Audience Award winner "Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale", produces and writes this inspiring film, directed by the multi-talented Umin Boya. Based on the true story of a multi-ethnic high school baseball team from Japan-occupied Taiwan and their inspiring participation in the 1931 Koshien baseball championship. Led by a Japanese coach (played by NAGASE Masatoshi), the surprising success of this team did much to promote the development of baseball in Taiwan.
