- Synopsis
Unfulfilled at work and dissatisfied with her marital life, a middle-aged woman in Hong Kong attends her high school reunion and a floodgate of memories opens. With an escalating suspicion that her husband is having an affair, she begins to reminisce about their mutual school pal, who vanished from their lives all those years ago. She was inseparable from the two boys 20 years before, and is now unhappily married to one of them. All her memories eventually zero in on one critical incident that changed their lives forever. Juxtaposing miserable middle-aged reality and adolescent memories, the film tells of lost ideals, ephemeral friendships and fateful decisions with all their bittersweet repercussions.
