Synopsis

Mony is a handsome guy but he is also a thief, a liar, a sex-addict, homophobic, and massively in debt to gangsters. In total, he is a loser who hangs out on the streets of Phnom Penh bullying others until the day loan sharks want him to cough up money. Forced to seek refuge with his older brother, a transgender dancer in a gay club, Mony works as a cleaner but witnesses gangsters murdering a man which puts him in danger.

In order to save his life, Mony has to transform it by turning into Poppy, the newest (and roughest) drag queen in his brother’s troupe and go on the run with brother's colourful and confident friends. The gang head to Hollywood, a ramshackle night club in the Cambodian countryside where they will find prejudice, acceptance and even romance and where Mony and the villagers will learn to accept those who live differently.

This film casts many of Cambodia's prominent transgender artists and tackles LGBT issues with warmth and humour as it shows us characters facing difficulties with wisdom and wisecracks.
