Discussion with Guest Filmmakers from Indonesia
In commemoration of the 60th Anniversary of the Establishment of Japan-Indonesia Diplomatic Relations, a discussion on Indonesian films with guest filmmakers will be held after the screening of “Posesif” on March 15, in cooperation with the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Osaka. Screening tickets for “Posesif” or “Pai Kau” will be required to enter. A light meal will be served. With Japanese - Indonesian interpretation.

Lucy is the daughter of an important businessman and she is about to get married to Edy. This is their perfect moment and she has prepared the wedding of her dreams. Shortly before the ceremony, an uninvited guest shows up. It’s a beautiful woman named Siska and it has Edy worried. He introduces Siska as a cousin from out of town but acts nervously around her. When Lucy hears that one of her bridesmaids has to be hospitalised, she spontaneously asks Siska to step in. What she doesn’t know is that Siska’s presence is a threat, because she is Edy’s former lover. Edy is wary of Siska ruining his wedding to Lucy, especially because she is the daughter of a powerful businessman but Siska has unfinished business from their past.
Instead of happiness, doom overshadows Lucy and Edy’s big day and it looks like things have to end tragically.
In a rare case of an Indonesian film focussing on the country’s Chinese minority, audiences are given a high tension drama.
