Prizes

Grand Prix (Best Picture Award)

The award will be given to the best film among the Competition films, as selected by the jury.
The winner will receive 500,000 yen.

Most Promising Talent Award

The award will be given to the most promising artist among those involved in the Competition films, who the jurors believe will play an important role in Asian film world in the future.
The winner will receive 200,000 yen.

ABC Award

This sponsor award will be given by Asahi Broadcasting Corporation, a member of the OAFF Executive Committee, to the most entertaining film among all participating new films (a few films will not be eligible).
The winner will receive 1,000,000 yen as the TV broadcast right (expenses for broadcast materials will be included).

Audience Award

The award will be given to the film which obtains the largest number of audience votes among all participating new films (a few films will not be eligible). Please take a ballot after screenings.
The winner will receive a crystal plaque.

Eugene DOMINGO
The Philippines/Actress
A Filipino movie and theater actress, comedienne and host. Eugene Domingo has starred in over 60 films since the 1990s. In "The Woman in the Septic Tank" (2011), she won the Best Actress Award at the 2011 Cinemalaya Film Festival and the People's Choice Award for Best Actress at the 6th Asian Film Awards. "I Do Bidoo Bidoo" (2012) was shown at OAFF 2013. "Barber's Tale" (2013) won her the Best Actress Award at the Tokyo International Film Festival in 2013. She stars OAFF 2014 Special Screenings film "Instant Mommy"(2013). She is one of the most prominent and productive figures in the Filipino film industry.
Tom Shu-yu LIN (林書宇)
Taiwan/Film Director
Born in 1976 in Taiwan. Grew up in the U.S. and Taiwan, Tom LIN received his MFA at California Institute of Arts. After working for TSAI Ming-liang's "The Wayward Cloud," Zero CHOU's "Spider Lilies" and others as an assistant director, he wrote and directed "The Pain of Others" in 2005. His second feature "Winds of September" (2008) was theatrically released in Japan and became a huge hit. His "Starry Starry Night" (2011) was screened at OAFF 2012 and well-received.
YANG Lina (楊荔鈉)
China/Film Director
Born in 1972, YANG is a dancer and a stage actress and stage host. She appeared as an actress in JIA Zhangke's "Platform". YANG commenced her career as a documentary filmmaker in 1996, she is one of the most remarkable independent filmmaker in China. Her debut documentary "Old Man" won a number of awards including Award of Excellence at Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival. Special Screenings film "Longing for the Rain" is YANG's first fiction feature.
