Sam is mentally ill and has developed a habit of stealing ladies underpants. He even goes as far as to touch the panties of women who pass by him. As you would expect, this causes problems. A psychiatrist suggests that marriage might cure for Sam’s strange behaviour but his elder brother Mahesh is reluctant to follow the doctor’s orders because he is interested in acquiring the mansion Sam owns so he can develop it into a hotel. Mahesh’s wife Nayani is, thankfully, more sympathetic but she takes an odd approach to curing her brother-in-law and offers herself to Sam, something which has unexpected consequences for the troubled man and his selfish brother.
Dissanayake’s latest feature is a humane look at a mentally disturbed person, showing what they need is care and treatment, not harassment and punishment.
