Lyn, a young Cambodian migrant worker in Korea is close friends with Yeon-hee, a working-class woman. Both work the night shift at a small factory, trying to earn as much money as possible to better their lives. For Lyn, their shared sense of kinship helps her cope with their boss’ unfair treatment but she will have to face Yeon-hee’s desire to escape Korea and move to Australia.
This film shows the bond between two different women through intimate moments such as Lyn’s letter to her mother and Yeon-hee’s conversation with hers allowing us to see that, despite different backgrounds, they face the same problems.
