Synopsis

A childlike woman, hired as a maid at a millionaire's house, is seduced by the master and has an affair with him. A series of mysterious incidents ensues... When the woman's "innocence" turns into a deadly weapon, the luxurious mansion becomes a house of horror. Im Sang-soo, known for his ability to dissect the dark underbelly of society with a scalpel, directs this remake of "The Housemaid", the thriller masterpiece by Kim Ki-young, who is called "the monster" in the Korean film world. The film depicts the problems of present-day Korea and took society by storm in 2010. This controversial and much-talked-about film is finally getting its Japan premiere! Jeon Do-youn, winner of the Best Actress Award at Cannes, vies with a cast of other unique actors/actresses.
