Orphaned after the death of his father, Xiang is reunited with his estranged coldhearted mother. As the lonely joyless days continue, he eventually finds comfort in drawing pictures. Acclaim for Chung Mong-Hong's "The Fourth Portrait" has greatly surpassed praise for his previous film "Parking", shown at the 2009 Osaka Asian Film Festival. Xiao Hai Bi, who plays Xiang, won Best Actor award at the Taipei Film Festival, the youngest ever recipient of the award.
