Architect Koshrow has died on the top step of a building he designed. His actress wife Leili thinks that the injury he got during a quarrel with her might have caused his death, but long-time friend; doctor Amin, disagrees. Moving back and forth between past and present, reality and illusion, what do these three monologues reveal?
This challenging work by writer/director Ali Mosaffa revolves around a triangle of two men and a woman in a metaphoric fashion. The star Leila Hatami, who received worldwide acclaim for her performance in the Academy Awards Best Foreign Language Film, "Separation", plays the role of an actress and won the Best Actress Award at the 2012 Karlovy Vary international Film Festival. Her real-life husband Mosaffa plays the role of the husband in the film. "The Last Step" will be the first ever Iranian film screened at OAFF.- Official Facebook
