Based on the short story by Ango Sakaguchi, film critic Ken Terawaki planned and produced this film, with the concept of making a film he wanted to watch. The director Junichi Inoue learnt filmmaking from the late Koji Wakamatsu. The talented stars Noriko Eguchi, Masatoshi Nagase, Jun Murakami and Akira Emoto devoted themselves fully to this taboo-challenging film.
