Kevin JULIO - Synopsis
Best friends Lisa and Sarah are two 17-year-olds living in Jakarta. They hang out together and explore their sexuality through internet videos and conversations that are impossible with their conservative families. Eager to be independent, they embark on launching an ASMR video channel and become the latest pretty faces to seek fame and fortune through online exposure. As worldly as they think they are, their lives go awry as Lisa develops an addiction to pornography while Sarah experiences a controlling relationship with an older man.
“Like & Share” plays out like a glossy cautionary tale about the dark side of the internet and sex while also acknowledging the reality of changing sexual mores and ways of connection. Told through teenage melodrama, tension comes in seeing how they deal with the real-world consequences of too much exposure.
