Joshua YANG (楊宗樺) - Synopsis
A middle-aged woman ventures through plush hallways to the reception of a brothel. Her goal? Rescue Natasha from the place. It might be difficult since Natasha cannot move on her own. She is a sex doll and this brothel is one that caters to customers who want sex dolls. This is the start of a bizarre day full of embarrassing difficulties for the woman but she is determined to spring Natasha from confinement for reasons that become clear as the day progresses...
Taking its place amongst films where sex dolls feature prominently, like “Lars and the Real Girl” (2007), “Natasha” broaches subjects of alienation and isolation that users feel. What may start off as a joke becomes heartbreaking by its end.
